Classic, Elegant Wedding in Madrid

A love of good taste.

Today we are bringing you another wedding from the 2023 season, the wedding of designer Clara Brea and Alfonso.

A very special #lalabluwedding that we celebrated on a beautiful summer’s day in Madrid.

How did they find us?

Clara got in touch with us on Instagram. She is currently one of Spain’s most renowned wedding fashion designers, and she designed a dress for one of last season’s Lalablu brides.

She liked the work we did for her client, and after getting to know us a bit more, she wanted us to help her with her wedding.

The Looks

Clara designed 3 dresses for her wedding day at her atelier Clara Brea Design.

The first, which she wore for the ceremony and cocktail hour, was a full-length piece with the sides made of rustic crepe. The sleeves were in pleated chiffon with hand-embroidered details on the cuffs from By Luneville. Lastly, it had a square back with crisscross straps and a cape that ran from the shoulders and came together at the waist, all in a silky pleated chiffon that matched the sleeves. She paired it with earrings from Mumit Jewelry and a fascinator by Puntulina.

For dinner, she changed into a dress in fringed chiffon with a central slit up the entire skirt, puff sleeves in the same fabric, and an open back with a strap and embroidered tassels.

Lastly, the look she chose to open dancing and the open bar was made of white sequins, and consisted of an asymmetric crop top with double frill in silk organza and high-rise palazzo pants with floral embroidery on the hem.

For the last two looks, she wore accessories by Stella Maris Atelier.

For the first dress, she trusted Mariela Shoes Madrid for the shoes. And for the other two looks, she wore sandals by Javier Gonzalo. Her hair and makeup also changed over the course of the wedding—Chelo Escobar and Renato Nuez brought her vision to life and adapted her hair and makeup for each look from start to finish.

Alfonso wore a tailor-made suit by the brand Mansolutely.

The Ceremony

The religious ceremony was held at the regal Basílica de la Concepción de Nuestra Señora, in the heart of the capital.

The Venue and the Catering

The space they chose was Soto de Mozanaque, one of the most historic estates in Madrid.

As for the food, Ciboulette delighted the couple and their guests.

The Photography and Videography

The super team from Esif Fotografía covered photography and videography for this wedding–thank you, ladies!

The Music

The ceremony featured live music from Grupo Alborada.

For the cocktail hour, Swingtronics from the Basque Country had all the guests dancing; and for the sound system and dancing, La Bomba was the bomb (Pun intended)! Thanks to all for providing the soundtrack to such a magical day.

Floral Decoration, Decoration and Lighting

Dilo con una flor made Clara’s bouquet. And for the floral decoration, Aquilea brought to life all the elements we designed, along with furnishings from Memorias del Ayer, and lighting by Luces de Cuento who created unique intimate spaces.

Other Vendors

For this wedding we worked with lots of other vendors during the open bar who brought the party to the next level.

Thanks to all of you–you are amazing. Torcedor de Puros, Violin Pablo, Party Crew Factory, Si que mola, Risbox and Waffle Time.

Thank you!

LalaBlu would like to give a huge THANK YOU to Clara and Alfonso for entrusting us with their special day.
